Serve and Protect
This painting is a 60in H x 48in W in Acrylic Abstract finished 12/2019.
This painting took me on a journey. I can’t tell you how close I came to whitewashing it tonight to start over because I had artist block trying to figure out how to make this canvas speak. A close friend of mine said recently to push through it you have invested so much already, and it also inspired him to paint a project. How do I inspire people with something I think is junk lacking inspiration and doesn’t have a possible future? I think there might be a life lesson in this one somewhere. People are always watching, and no one really understands what is going on inside you. So, when we lack inspiration or motivation in life, we still have an opportunity to impress and inspire people. Even though you are just trying to gather yourself and take the next step, you still have power in our weakest moments, and I find encouragement in that as I hope you do too.Well, tonight, I finally found the wind for my sail of inspiration and became a canvas whisperer once again. I have not played with this painting technique before, but it was a lot of fun to watch the paint roll over the canvas unfolding the true abstract definition of this piece, Serve and Protect, which makes me pretty proud.. It is a one of a kind piece.
